How do I change my logon screen?

I hate my logon screen. Its the one which you have to type your name then your password. The ones you get in school.
I've read a few times that you have to go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and do something with switching the way users log on. But I don't have that option:

(The IMG tags don't work?)
I hate my logon screen because it reminds me off school. Its just disgusting.
Does anyone know how to at least change it back to the default one.

go to control panel, then to user accounts.

Start--> Control Panel--> User Accouts--> Change The Way Users Log On & Off Option.

Is this what you meant? You can also change the WinXP splash screen if you don't like the default WinXP Logo. I posted a guide on How-to. You can also change the Pic next to your name to anything you want as well. Either by choosing one from the default options or you can browse your PC for a custom Pic.

To do this:
Start--> Click on the pic next to your name at the top--> Choose a pic you want displayed or click on the "Browse for More Pictures" option. Select your Pic & then on "Change Picture"

Try clicking your picture on the Start Menu, see if you get to the nice looking user account panel.

Which version of WinXP are your using?

To get the pic next to your name, check here:
1)Right click on "My Computer" on either your desktop icon or in the START menu. Click on "Properties"
2)Click on the "Advanced" tab
3)Click on the "Settings" tab
4)Click on the "Adjust for best appearance" tab. Allow the change to take effect.
5)Exit back to desktop & click on "Start"

Is your picture back next to your name?
