I read that consoles may burn images into projection screen televisions and that you can check your owner's manual. I can't find it at the moment, but is there a site that tells you if your television can handle a console? I was thinking of renting an Xbox and I was wondering.

Any TV can have images burned into the screen if left on pause long enough. =p
It's just much easier for it to happen to projection and plasma screens. ;)

That's why DVD players have screen savers.

If you are planning to have the game paused for about 4 days i'd say yes. If you are planning on playing 3-5 hours a day i'd bet some money on no damage at all, unless you throw the console on the tv or something.

Ya just don't have the game paused on one image for more than like 30 minutes and there won't be any sort of problem at all. If you absolutely must have the game paused for that amount of time though then just turn off the TV and leave the game on until you are ready to get back to it.

Okay, thanks guys. I'll play it for a long time, but I'm pretty sure that I won't pause it for 30 minutes.

Hahahhaa. I thought thread title said "How do I find out if my telephone is able to use consoles safely?

But onto the topic: Yeah, it should be fine. Just don't leave in on for a week.
