Cklick on game options then go into keyboard options, click advanced button and tick enable console. Exit options then press the tilda key (next to "1" on your keyboard) that will bring down the console. Have fun

Well, just to further nag about this and appear like a total moron... I've done all this, going into options, advanced and checking that box. and that it till doesn't work for me. eh... why? Tried many things i.e pressing all the keys, pressing all the keys simultainiously, smashing my head against the keyboard 'til it went red... well maybe not the last one but... And not just on public servers (u might say "U stooped some servers have disabled the console to prevent ppl from cheating") I've tried to bring it down (up?) while on servers I created myself... arrghh... I need the console since I think I'll need it when I think I'm trying out maps I think will be great... uuhh... nm

btw I realize the language used here sux but hey, Im from sweden, I've been awake for 'bout 30 hours now. Makin maps and getting frustrated about the console problem... well well...
