How Do I Over Clock or unlock My X800 Pro's 4 extra pipe lines

Is it possible to unlock the 4 extra pipelines on my Saphire x800pro 12 pipline graphixs card. Keep in mind i dont want to damage my card, well evan if i do i can always buy another.

Plus i am really board and i thought this would keep me busy.

I read about this one. I don't remember the specifics, but the article said that ATI disabled the 4 extra pipelines in a way that made them impossible to unlock. Sorry man. (I could be wrong about this though)

lol, are you kidding me man, i would love that card, it's a beast, it's a heck of alot better than my 9700.

tis only worth the risk if you have the VIVO version, which is basically a scaled back x800xt. I have heard that while it is possible to unlock the extra pipelines on the regular pro, it isn't recommended.

There is no way to reliably open up the 4 closed pipelines in a X800 Pro (the VIVO is a different story though). However, buy your self a VGA Silencer and overclock your X800 Pro to amazing levels.

Is your card a VIVO? if so then you can flash your BIOS to a full 16 pipe card...

Before i got it somone said dont pay the extra $100 because its not that big of a difference.

As some others have already stated, i think it has to be a VIVO edition card to have any chance of unlocking the extra 4 pipes, and even then there's no guarantee, although Connect3D and Powercolor apparently have a near 100% success rate. That's why i opted for the Connect3D x800Pro VIVO which first flashed to an X800XT with no problems. I then overlcocked the card to X800XTPE speeds, checked everything worked OK (using ATi Tool) and then reflashed with an X800 XTPE Bios. :cheers:

i got the VGA silencer (it didnt fit on my 9550 and it fried, got 9800 pro now), i know its good for o/cing the core, but how far can u go with the memory?
