How do I overclock at 9800 to a 9800 Pro?

get a utility which allows you to adjust the clock speeds, then slowly raise the clock speeds, testing for instability or artifacts and then once you get instability and/or artifacts you nudge the clock speed down in lower increments until it's stable and has no artifacts.

[edit]

BTW your 9800 "non pro" 256MB, is not a non pro, the only 9800's with 256MB are Pro's.

well there is 2 ways. use a program like rage tweak, but the card resets everytime you reboot, or you can flash the bios of the card
www.google.com search for it, but you need good cooling in your case or you will fry it.

No not 256MB....jeez...there is a bad 9800 non pro version with 128 bit memory interface and then there is the 256 bit memory interface that delivers the bandwidth for real time 3d graphics and barrier free performance

now, if you want to talk about what you were talking about, then yes I have the 128MB DDR memory that generates better framerates

Memory speed and memory interface speed are two different things

I confirmed this with ATI

Well, for future reference, that bad one is called the 9800SE.

To flash the bios: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=119535 but don't use the flashrom linked in the first page, use the one that is linked on page 2 or 3, cant remember which hehe (even though I linked it :) ). But check to see what ram chips you have, if they are samsung and the last 4 letters/numbers on it are like GT33 (like mine) that is 3.3ns ram, the slowest, 30 and 28 are better of couse. But samsung 3.3ns ram can take the flash (like my card did). If you have infineon memory that is not 2.8ns it probably can't handle the speed.
