Hi, I'd really like to export demos into viewable files that can be opened with any video player, how do I do that?
How do you edit or export demos?

after recording the demo, bring up the console and type:
"host_framerate 30" *this will make the demo play back at 30fps
"startmovie name"
"playdemo name"
you will then see the demo playing back a bit choppy as it saves .tga files in your HL2 folder. It will also save a .wav file (although mine doesn't work, it creates an unusable 44kb .wav file every time!?)
you'll then need a program to put these pics and sound together of course..
