How do you get the gold 'medal'

I don't know what to call it, but I see people talking about beating levels using a certain amount of portals and when they walk into the elevator a little thing pops up and shows they got 1st place.

I watched one of these videos and the guy did a room in 3 portals, so I went to the game and did exactly what he did and nothing came up in the elevator...is there a time limit or something?

Does it say anywhere that you can do this room in X number of portals?

Once you have completed the game, the advanced maps and challenge maps are unlocked.

The advanced maps are basically harder veriosns of the last 6 puzzles.

The challenge maps include doing maps using the least footsteps / portals / time. Only when you load one of the challenge maps can you actually win bronze, silver or gold.

You should see the new entry in your main menu if you've completed the game.

These gold medal challenges are rediculously hard, but they are all possible... trust me, you may not think they are all possible, particularly the step and time challenges, but they all are.

Piece of advice - only use these if you've completed the game, or if you are *really* stuck, otherwise you'll ruin the fun.
