How do you run mods?

Ok this is a rather stupid question but how do I install and run mods? For exampe, i dled Pong: Source and now I have the zip, so what do I do?

Unzip it to your SourceMods folder

By the way, to run the mods, they'll appear in your Third Party Games list.

That's because it's a modification on HL2DM. You'll read HL2DM, but when you see the start screen, it should be entirely different. If it isn't, you probably did something worng in installing it. PongSource went great for me.

i just put them in the mods folder if its a folder and it will show up under third party games and if its an exe run it thats all i have ever done
