Over the past few years I have made it a little mission of mine to collect just about every DVD of every movie I have loved since birth. So far I am at about 250, but only because I can't actually pay to keep up such a hobby (or is it a habit, it can be), I still have a long list stored of future movies to purchase.
When I recently moved I took a look at my whole collection, filling up three display racks and I decided to just go get one large booklet and store them all that way. So that is what I did, I never care all that much for the boxes, heck a nice portion of the DVD's I had ripped off when I worked at a video store and knew where the cameras were (its so easy to open those security devices with a butter knife) so many of the boxes were blank with just writing on paper.
Not only did I transer all my DVD's to booklets but I did the same for all my computer games, console games (even got a small one for my GC) and CD's.
I want to know if anyone else does this?
(Side note: I have been noticing a almost identical scratch pattern now on some of the DVD's. Its nothing that my repair kit wont fix but I am wondering if perhaps storing them in booklets might be causing this. Has anyone esle heard of that? I take good care of my stuff, house rule is if it isnt in the player its in the sleave)
