Last Sunday my Grandad was taken to hospital with quite a severe case of pneumonia and my entire family were really worried.
On Thursday, he was taken into Intensive Care and put on a ventilator and we all thought that he was going to die, but he pulled through and slowly started getting better.
Each day I was getting more confident about him actually surviving this ordeal.
And today, I am more sure than ever. Apparently (sadly I wasn't there, but my uncle was) this morning, my grandad regained conciousness, pulled the ventilator tube from his mouth, sat up and asked loudly for a cup of tea.
The very fact that he is his usual self, even in illness, has made me so happy, I thought I'd share it with all of you.
And you have to admit that pulling a ventilation tube from your throat is pretty hardcore.
