So far I'm at 3.03GHz. What are you guys at? I may add a poll to this once I have a better view of what number - number view.

3276mhz (7x468) on a P5B Deluxe with corsair xms twin2x 6400C4 2gb. I feel like I can push it a bit further (around 485 fsb), but it's fine for now.

I'm at 3.03 with pc6400 OCZ platinum and a p5b deluxe.

I feel that I have some headroom left.

what exactly is overclocking? kinda like 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag? kinda like when you mod a car and it has TOO much horsepower?

Reminds me of a video I saw...this guy in his super fast truck was doing drags, and his rear end just snapped off, and his front end just kind of went froward for a few feet...then straight down to the ground..

THAT'S too much HP :p

i'll overclock when I start seeing slowdown in games. Till then, my 7800GTX and AMD 4000+ will stay nice and cool.

since I happened to have clicked this thread, and all of the sudden thought of this question, ill ask it here instead of making a new thread.

How much would a quad core cpu, mobo for it, and a 8800gt cost me, say... when crysis comes out?

I have a E6400, and I don't plan on overclocking it until I have a decent case, which I'm buying next month along with a new PSU

I would say at least $1500 for those components alone.
