 How hot should a x800 Pro, from flash turning into an x800 XT P.E.? Who knows? But like 90 and up degrees celsius isn't too pretty.

should a x800xt pe get (from flash?)

I don't know the temp, but I highly recommend getting an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer, the new ATi Silencer Rev4 one for the X800's, will cool it REALLY well. And maybe even some Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste, that'll cool the X800 beautifully, it'll be as stable as it was out of the box.

I was thinking about getting a new cooler for my X800 XT PE around christmas, since the stock cooler won't let me go any longer than about 530 core 565 mem. Do you think I can get any further with the ATi Silencer Rev4? If not, I'll just get watercooling for my system ..

i had a similar question about acceptable sys heat temps for the mb and proc etc... since putting together my new system in an onlder all-metal case, it seems to be heating up a little more than it should - after an hour or so of intense performance, the case actually becomes quite hot to the touch...

i checked the bios sys monitor, and it said the cpu and case (can't remember the abreviaton it used, but i think it was talking about the case) were running just over 40c - which is over 100f. is it dangerous to be running a newer system at those temps or is that acceptable?

if it is too hot to be running the system, what cooling solutions would you recoment that would be cheaper than going out and buying another $100 case?
