Well today our IT group had to do some thing with the BBC (I was tempted to shout out "ITV rules!" ). They were basically doing market research with teens across the country for some website they're making on finance.
Now, in this group there were quite a few chavs (Who said things like "Its different fer girls, dey 'ave to buy loads of clothes innit." "Nah but lads trackies are like £120 from Lacoste so yer wrong der." No, Im not joking.)but mostly normal people, but hardly anyone I know, meaning I didn't really voice my views, which are probably quite different to theirs. The thing that really shocked me, and made me think was they asked everyone:
"How important is money? Can you be happy without money?"
And everyone bar me and one or two others, said "No". I mean, I know the majority of the world is capitalist, centered around money and all that, but I didn't think that many people in a selection of 30 or so in the school would think you couldn't be happy without money.
Personally, my own views are quite muddled, its mixed in with careers and my own aspirations which I don't have a clue what they are, really need to find myself or something. But I know I don't want my life centered around money, don't want to be a slave to the wage.
You don't need money to happy...right?
