How long does it take to install hl2 with 56k

I am waiting for my ADSL install next month. But now I really want to play css with bots.

Can you please tell me how long it will take to connect to stream and finish install hl2 with css updates?

Should I wait for my ADSL next month to install?

Yes, you definitely should wait, it should takes you more than 3 hours, that's for sure. (my friend used 56k and he always screamed in anguish when there is a new major update ) Even if you managed to get CSS running, your latency would be around 300 or more

It would take forever, not to mention updates, HL2DM, CS:S its worth the wait till you have a better connection.

i got hl2 working with a 28.8k (running at 14.4k!). it took a long time (it has to decrypt the game files), but i got it working in one afternoon. its sure worth the try...

mine connect at 52.0k but usually run at 5 kb/s only.

all teh noobs with 56k..... let it dl overnight and then wait for adsl before u lag up some innocent servers

You need to check the properties of your Internet Connection and make sure you have never disconnect checked.
