how long have you waited for half-life2?

Since I beat Hl1.

Off-Topic: You listen to FM99? Damn, you must be close to me.

i have been waiting since aug 03

dam you guys have been waiting for a long time..

i remeber my first time i saw half-life 2, it was on g-tech and i was amazed

After half-life came out, i always hoped there was gonna be a hl2

I woke up one morning and read Gamespot's front page, just like always, and to my surprise there was a "HL2 Coming Sept 2003!" news item. I've been dying to play since then.

Since the first rumours in i think march 2003 that there was something up at valve. I didn't beleive it at first, but then they kinda pulvarized E3 and since then i've been following every fart that came out of valve.

The wait is over, but the adventure is just beginning.

Since I stepped into the portal the G-Man presented to me.

Since the E3 2003 presentation.
I actually never really believed any explanation of the events that surrounded the delay... it just made my anger of waiting more intense.

Same as everyone else: when I finished the first I HOPED part two would follow no long after.

But for real when the rumors started floating about early last year...and then that famous (Was it Edge?) magazine image with the crowbar and shadow shaped like a "2"....

Ahh the good memories..

no one has been waiting longer than may '03 and you are a liar if you say you have been. it seemed pretty obvious there would be a sequel, but the damn game was 5 years old before they announced half life 2. so dont come in here and try to sound all high and mighty, we have all been waiting for much longer than we were supposed to.

look valve, for half life 3, dont say a ****ing thing until it goes gold.

wtf, HL2?
This is the first I've heard of it...

U guys got any screenshots i can see?
Is it gold yet?
:O

I have been waiting since 1998, from the moment GMan hired me at the end of Half-Life. I did not need an announcement to make me think about how awsome HL2 would be, or to want to continue the cronicles of Freeman. VALVe showed me that they knew, more then anyone else, what makes a game good. And seeing how HL1 left off in such a cliffhanger, and how sucessfull the game was, it was rather clear there would be a sequel.

I had heard rumors that HL2 was in development well before May 03, and had looked it up numerous times. I have definitly been waiting longer then a year and a half.

I dont think that I'm more of a fan then anybody else here,. this is a fan site, after all,. we're all here because we know how good this game will be. But that doesnt change the fact that i've been waiting forever.
