For me a week is 8 days straight. I just finished 8 days of nights and I get 6 days off. I have 2 favorite perks:

1: All my night meals are paid for.

2: I can spend 500 dollars a year on a new computer or computer parts (the company gives me 500).

Your turn.

A work week is one night a week at a different place every time.

I get a ton of free and very high quality leftover foodstuffs at the end of the night.

I work 3 x 3 hours a week. No perks.

I work tues,weds,thurs,fri,sat ... 9-5:30 ... 30 mins for lunch, 2 15 mins breaks either side of lunch.

perks: no stress, job security, good laugh + good people ... cafe on site, 30percent off food, free teas and coffees whenever i want them.

cons: not enough money, no prospects, no company car

I dont work. I do however have 60 hrs a week of school work, which gives no perks besides me having spent 60 grand to do so.

5 days a week around 42.5 hours.Free clothes and i can buy stuff 25% of wholesale price.

I work monday - friday 7-4. Perks are I get paid 9.75 for talking to people on the phone and forum whoring.

cons are that it gets boring and the attitude here sucks and employees threaten to beat the shit out of me.

Paintball marshall : A week consists of 4-5 days work during the hols and 1-2 days during a normal week. 9-5/6/7/8.

Perks: i get better at talking to people and i get free entry and pay next to nothing for a box of paint.

Cons: i get the shit shot out of me and have to put up with twats now and again. Also, hands are generally ***ked at the end of each day, especially when guns need strip cleaning.

Oh, and working as a pro marshall i get shot even more, but tournament paintball is awesome so thats a perk i guess?

I work at a restaurant so my schedule changes a lot. I usually work 20-30 hours.

CONS: Can be very stressful and you do get a lot of mean people. I do host/to go so I don't make as much as the servers do.

PROS: Great people, good advancement opportunities, I get half off on food and usually free due to a contest/screwed up order/friends that are cooks will hook you up.

Also if I am low on money people are always giving shifts away and I can always help people with side work and get tipped out.

I work when ever the overlords tell me to....no perks...stupid retail.

I work about 18-35 hours per week at a restaurant as a dishwasher.

PROS: Free food... I make more than if I were at home playing video games...
CONS: People kinda suck, a shit ton of work, my hands are generally ****ed for the day (which compounds on my already-present eczema >.<), half of the other dishwashers don't do their jobs and I have to pick up their slack with no credit given.

Working the summer in forestry. About 60 hours a week, get accomodation and meals payed for when I'm on the road. During the school year I had about 25 hours of class plus 25 hours of homework plus 32 hours of work a week. Yay for engineering. The perk is getting payed a shitload after graduating I guess.

I work 4 nights (graveyard shift) a week, 10 hours a day. Perks are: good pay and no stress. I'm also a full time student doing a double major in biology and psychology. I try to leave all my extra time to sleep and socialize.

5 days at 49 hours

Monday - 8:15-4:15
Tuesday - 8:15-4:15, 6:00-9:00
Wednesday - " "

No perks...well, paid holidays.

I work Friday Nights and Saturday nights 10pm-4am in a bar/nightclub, occasionaly I'll work a Sunday and/or a thursday too.. I collect glasses, wash them, put them back out, sweep up broken glass, mop up sick, wash ashtrays, basically keep the place safe and clean.

My managers makes people drink off milk when they do bad, he's a bit of a weirdo. It's not very fun, very intense and tiring. My colleuages are mostly girls and pretty hot :D But it's an awful job but the moneys nice to have.

I've heard you can make a lot of money in tips doing that...probably not everywhere though.

Never been tipped a penny. And I regularly help customers by getting them a pen, storing their jackets for them, finding things they've lost. They never tip. I usually find about 3pounds on the floor though.

I can buy anything for my computer and only pay half. I get a REALLY cheap education. Free Cell phone service, free laptop.

well im an intern this summer... my perks are long hours, little recognition, and horrible compensation!

40 hour week, standard 9-5ish hours.

Perks: Free foods (heated items/drinks) & free car.

NEW CONS: Apparently my boss likes to switch up shifts without checking if I'm available. He doesn't even ****ing notify me.

I think I should quit. Who's with me?

I work 5 or 6 days a week, 8-12 hours shift. I get paid 550 pounds a week. not bad for an IT technician.

my friends been longer in the company they get paid 700-860 pounds per week.

5 or 6 hours a day. 5 or 6 days a week.

Perks is that I get as much free KFC food for lunch as I want.

is it true that Europeans only have to work like 35 hour weeks?

i do 18 hours a week and the only perk i get is entry to my club free plus one guest

I work 5 days a week, sometimes six, hours vary, I don't have a real schedule, I'm never late, I'm never early.
I come in on my time, I leave when I'm tired.
I have a company credit card that I can use to buy things for company use.
I get paid to have lunch and breakfast.
Sometimes my boss treats me to lunch or breakfast and pays me while we're out.
I get at least one vehicle to tool around town in all day.
Pay is decent, but I don't have any kind of medical/dental/vision benefits plan.
I get called all the time. :/
Nothing I'm doing really helps my resume. Oh well.

I DID IT!

I basically told them "Yeah, uhh nobody actually told me that I got assigned a shift for today, so... I think I'm gonna quit. ... See ya."

Best part is, I got a paycheck right before they found out I was quitting :D

Quitting a job has always been a fun experience for me. It's kinda surreal for a few moments afterwards, then FREEDOM! You hang around and be lazy for a little while, then you gotta find another job. But I always feel so good after quitting a job I hate. It's almost as good as cocaine.

I'm currently serving in the US Navy, so my schedule is a bit different from those posted in this thread. :p Right now I'm in ATT(Apprentice Technical Training) school. It's 5 days a week, 7-9 hours/day (excluding my Duty Day). I'm scheduled to graduate in early July, hopefully late June if I can comp early. Upon completion I head onto my "A" School as an FC(Fire Controlman, not to be confused with Fireman).

Perks (of the Navy): Free dental and medical coverage, guaranteed static pay twice a month, allowance for food, free housing, allowance for clothing, MGI Bill covers nearly all college tuition

Cons: Can be stressful, little freedom, away from family, watchstanding
