Well it is sort of music related. How many years would it take for me to grow my hair now (just about at my shoulders) down to my knees. Just wondering if there is anyone here who has experience in growing out their hair.

Well, about 6 years ago now I made the half-arsed decision to start growing my hair out. This was from an extremely short starting length, and I've cut it a fair few times, but it's past the very bottom of my shoulder blades at this point. Maybe over halfway down my back towards my waist.

To grow it to your knees I think would take maaany many years. Not to mention the fact that the longer you leave it without cutting it, the worse a state the ends end up in, what with split ends etc. You really need to take care of it if you plan on growing it without cutting it at all, since it can end up looking truly shoddy. It also depends on if you're naturally wavy, straight, or so forth.

NB to any suspicious mods: this is indeed a music thread, since what other reason is there to grow your hair other than to headbang to METAAAGHL :sniper:

I'm glad I look good and clean with my shorter hair.

Thanks for your input. I do take care of my hair well. Got it all evened out before. My hair is blonde and straight. I use a lot of conditioner so it is very fine and it is awesome to headbang with!!!!! But if I had more than what I have now it would be so much more awesome. Thing is with my instrument (drums) I don't get to do as much head banging since I could lose coordination or fall off my throne(lol!). Still awesome none the less.

It might not even be possible to grow your hair that long. Every strand of hair you have has a "life" of sorts - the period of time before it falls out. Once you reach a certain length, the hair will fall out before it can grow any longer.
