Because if you have a gay voice, you're instantly recognisable as gay. There are plenty of non-camp gay people, you just need to know them beyond hearing their voice to actually clock them as such.

As for the thread question... Maybe I'm picky with who I can designate as friends, but I can only stretch to two gay friends, and both profess to be bisexuals (and I've honestly never seen either with a guy). This despite me being a long-time member of a Musical Theatre Society at a University in the gay capital of Southern England.

Make it 8 if we take the facebook definition of 'friend'. Oh, my cousin too.
