I know not everyone uses iTunes, but i do, hence thread name. basically, how much digital music (or physical music if you buy tons of Cds) do you have?

i only have about 600 songs, but they are meticulously catalogued, also, im a music snob ;)

hmm, maybe mod could add a poll, though i dont know what number sets to use

I have 2855 songs, also meticulously catalogued

Also, this doesn't really have anything to do with iTunes, just MP3s

i know, but i <3 iTunes so i had to give it mad props.... yo :E

I have 627 songs, none of them illegal :) Well except a few anime songs but they don't count.

+3,400 tracks. I don't have iTunes currently installed but the tracks lasted for something like 9-10 days.

90% illegal.

Enough songs to last me 10 full days, you work it out :p

1113 songs and three videos. (Itunes will be the death of my wallet).

Oh yeah, just to note, all full albums, no singles.
I have a hard time just downloading one song at a time. Even if there's just one song I want, I'll get the entire album just because

Exactly. I hate the idea of singles. I'm even bothered if I get an album and it's out of order. I want to experience the entire album as the artist intended me to. This isn't such a big deal with most pop albums or anything, but when you get to really, really good albums, song order is crucial.

Thats why I like the preview function. Means I can tell if I need to do that.

112 songs, 8.2 hours, 570MB.

I look like a lightweight compared to you guys.

Over two years of downloading I have accumulated about 2800 songs.

100% illegally.

Haha, I have exactly 112 Modest Mouse songs alone.

Not to mention 157 Radiohead tracks...no doubles from either band.

I weigh in at a modest 811 tracks, 95% legal. Speaking of modest mouse, I'm thinking about getting their other albums. I have Good News and Lonesome Crowded West, so what others are there?

My favourites are:
Building Nothing Out Of Something
Everywhere And His Nasty Parlor Tricks
Good News For People Who Love Bad News
Lonesome Crowded West
This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About

I currently own these albums from Modest Mouse:
Building Nothing Out of Something
Their Demo Tape (this is awesome, an old basement recording of Cowboy Dan and a MM version of Parasites, the song that eventually became an Ugly Casanova Song)
Everywhere and His Nasty Parlor Tricks
Good News for People Who Love Bad News
Sad Sappy Sucker
The Fruit That Ate Itself
The Lonesome Crowded West
The Moon and Antarctica
This is a Long Drive For Someone With Nothing to Think About

My favorite album is probably Lonesome Crowded West. It has some EPIC songs. Definately the first album I would get for an interested MM fan.

If you already have Lonesome Crowded, I'd suggest Moon and Antarctica next. It's considered their masterwork by most people.

Currently 2,548 (218 albums), 99% legal.

And iTunes sucks. I only use it to transfer to iPod. Otherwise, Winamp.

2,845 songs... 12.0GB

It's about 50% illegal. maybe.

1,704 MP3's and counting! All encoded at standard variable bit rate.

Indeed it is. I've shown many people iTunes and have them download it within 5 mintues and then use it as their primary music program.

Of course, but the songs you download are a dollar. You see that's where they get you. ;)

It's a rip-off.

14388 songs, 40.6 days, 63.10GB

can probably strike a thousand of those off for being crap stuff i need to erase

340 songs, 22.9 hours, 1.69 gb

And no, none of it is crap in dire need of erasage. All my music comes from CDs.

if ya dont like itunes becuase of its prices only use it for music then. i dont like the fact that i would buy the music and not have a proper cd for it, only tranfer songs from cd or downloaded songs (non paid for songs)

Only reason i got into itunes was becuase of my ipod but ive found it to be a really good music player so prefer it too anything else.

A dollar per song is a ripoff? Hell, the music companies are coming down hard on Apple because they think they far undercharge.
