I just bought HL2 Bronze and started to download HL2 with a Wireless ADSL connection at 54 Mbps. Partly due to internet traffic i guess, partly due to the fact that i don't live in the U.S., my download time is listed as approximately 1588 minutes.
You're kidding, right? That's about 24 hours. In that time, a dozen things could go wrong that would cause the download to be interuppted! And as far as i can see, there's no partial download that can be resumed at a later point. You either download the whole damn thing together, or you don't download it at all. Am I right about this? Programs like Getright usually cause a lot of problems, so I'm staying away from them.
But is there a solution to this? Maybe the download will eventually go faster on off times and the time might be cut in half, but that's still 12 hours.l
