How many of you are cutting class like me to play HL2? as soon as i heard halflife 2 would be coming out on a tuesday it wasn't even a question to skip classes. How about you guys.
 
When I heard the release date I told my boss that I'd be taking the day off. So no skipping for me. I'm legitimately off so I can play Half-Life 2. :D

stupid school, scheduled to be open during hl2 launch. ffs.
 
No. School is more important. But unfortunately I'll be there until about 3:30 in the afternoon. Maybe I can slip out when the professor isn't looking. :E
 
No class. I DO have some vacation time saved up though... ;)
 
No class for me on tuesdays, but i still have work at 4pm :dozey:
 
I got the wholllllllle of tuesday off...but I will want to play some EQ2 as well :rolling:
 
Debating....

I figure, my learning ability will be greatly weaken, my focus will be non-existant... so what the hell is the day worth.

I'd probaly complete 1/10th of the work I usally do... so. :-\
 
I'm a teacher and giving my class a day off. (wink,wink, say no more) No seriously. I have a boardmeeting after school which I'm seriously going to hasten to get my retailcopy and play the damn game. Man I'm hyped.

not me, i don't have to work, school, or anything else for a long while
also i'm poor so i'm waiting till x-mas and hoping i get it,
dam it will be a long wait.
but till then i can look at pics, search for spoilers, and have fun reading about it was others play.
 
I'm in exam block.... I have free day the same day hl2 is released....

but I have two exams the next day....

I'm not cutting. I'm giving a speech. That is unless I do have strep throat (I'll find out tomorrow).
 
i get out of school at 11am, if i skipped i would probably sleep until noon anyways, the way i see it, school is just a warm up for the problem solving part of hl2

lol. And by the way, your homework is doubled today so I can give you all tests tomorrow because I won't sleep for a long long time so I need to do that here.
 
I only have one class in the morning on Tuesday and it ends at 9am, so right after that I am heading over to Gamestop.

Interesting fact: a couple professors at my college canceled classes last week so that they could go out and buy Halo 2. I wonder if anyone'll be doing that for Half-Life 2. I wouldn't put it past a couple of teachers...
 
You guys are lucky, my thanksgiving break starts ON November 25.... But anyways, nah im not skipping anydays to play HL2, but When I get home I'm playing HL2 all through the rest of the day.
 
Nope, i'll be at school from 7:55am (Sooo....cloosee....) till 3pm :(
 
After Tuesday I don't think I have that much homework and what not so I won't be missing any school.
 
I unfortunately won't be skipping school...

I have a few major assignments to hand in, as well as some final exams. I will be staying up late Monday night (hey, that's today already! w00t!) and unlocking hl2 at 1 AM my time on Tuesday morning. I don't need much sleep to function, and the only thing I have important the next is well... nothing now that I think of it. w00t.

I don't have school wednesday however, so when I get home on tuesday I'll probably be playing for a long, long time.
 
I'm screwed. I have to write the introduction for my Ph.D. thesis and mark 40 lab reports and exams before the Christmas break. To top it off I'll be away from my computer for 3 weeks over Christmas. Why oh why did it have to be released now!! Needless to say I will not be getting much sleep should I break down and buy it as soon as it's released.....and I know I will. I'm sure my students will understand if I sleep during class.
 
SCREW SCHOOL! HL 2 is more important :D what man does with a life when he has HL2! NOTHING! omg omg omg tomorrow it is *going insane*
 
Today is my 20th birthday, and tomorrow HL2 comes out. Of course I'm missing school for the next 2 days.

I told them I was going to my cousin's wedding! HA! :naughty:
 
hmm....i'd probably skip it if it wasnt a tuesday since tuesdays have shorter school days for me and we have sports on tuesdays which is surfing,so i'll probably skip surfing if the weathers shit.
 
lol I read the thread title as "How many of you are cutting glass...". I know I'll be cutting some glass though.
 
I also talked to my boss to get the day off. But the deadline here is kind of keeping me working. Plus, one of the animators in my team is sick so we have to take his footage. Guess I'll be playing some here and there...
 
I'm free today, but not tomorrow (it's not my choise). I would never stay home from school beacouse of a video game. I will get home either 15.20 or 16.30.
 
may be so, but alot of theres guys waited years for this so I don't blame them.

I'm not. Mid terms are too tight for me so I gotta workworkwork.

I'm willing to try and cut glass in order to kill time waiting for HL2. ;)

I'm gonna pick it from the post office tomorrow after school. About 3 pm (15:00). Just got an e-mail informing me that my copy has been sent! woot! GMT +2 that is
