Maybe I'll preorder online once a date is announced, I'd rather fight through a crowd of people to get my copy though

I pre ordered it, mainly because the store that i pre orderd it from allows people to cancel even orders that have come in, plus they are usually very fast at getting games.

I preordered it in early September, but got my money back when I found out about the delay. Now I'm not going to bother with pre order, just grab it in the store.

I'll wait for reviews, wait for it to actually hit the store shelves, then consider whether or not to buy it. It lost that 'must-buy' mystique a while ago.

i always wait for reviews, then buy at the store. who knows may be some stupide graphics glitches or something with the physics engine might mess the whole game up.....

i will go into Game on the release day and pick up my copy, then go to pizza hut get a large thin base pepperoni and eat/read the manual to see what MP is like etc.


it makes it more special than just running in and grabbing it and whoring it.

It's not going to kill you if you cant play it the very first day (or week, or month) that it comes out. If I went to the store and it was sold out, I would just go home and play something else till it arrived.

There's no need to pre-order. I've NEVER seen a PC game sell out on release day. Never. Not even Diablo 2, Warcraft or any of the Sims games. PC games are just cheaper to make (CD-ROM) and can be heavily mass-produced.

Meh. I've already prepaid $70 of $80.49 (Canadian money, mind you) for HL2. I'd rather only have to pay ten bucks for it when I get there, rather than counting out $80. Even if there's about a one-millionth-of-a-percent chance that HL2 will sell out on release day, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
