Usually hit the local on a Friday and have 2/3 pints on average. I'm returning to Bristol for my 2nd year of uni on the weekend however and our new house is 7 minutes walk from a lush student pub, where it's a quid a pint on Mondays.

*prays for his liver*

Antipop, where. I am in the west mids.

YOU MUST TELL ME.

The Planet club, Wolverhampton. NME rubbish downstairs, rock, metal, DnB (like Pendulum, Prodigy, etc) upstairs. Good club. :)

A lot of people seem to drink socially. They drink their beer, talk and hang out, they seem to be perfectly content with getting a nice buzz and going home.

The buzz is never great enough for me. I finally find nirvana and I want more. But beyond that is sickness and an inability to completely function.

The new friends I have made through the night due to the power of alcohol and a new found friendliness quickly turn into strangers giving me strange looks as I stumble around, unable to focus my eyes, possibly beginning to get loud and aggressive.

Maybe they are just getting to know me enough to realize they don't like me as much as they first thought they would.

It feels like to me that they are just ready to go back to their fantastic lives. I was merely a fun distraction for a while. Like a neighbors cat. Awesome to play with for a while, but they realize they certainly don't want it for themselves. Next time, it will be the same thing. Starting over.

At first they wanted to drink, but they don't keep up. Instead of having another to boost them back, they begin to come down and get bored.

I drink until I become incredibly tired and I pass out wherever I lay my head. Not really regretting it, because I had a lot of fun, but I pay dearly for it in the morning with a headache that feels like my brain is floating in alcohol.

Maybe now I can try to cut myself off at the first sign of things going wrong. I just have so much fun I don't want the party to ever end.

Probably close to 14 a week, sometimes more, spread out over most of the days since I like to have a quiet beer or 2 in the evenings quite often.

It's given me a little bit of a gut, but tbh I enjoy checking out quirky beers more than I enjoy worrying what the average prick in the street thinks of my sixpack.

Wow, we have a lot of non-drinkers here, didn't know that.

Time for a hl2.net AA meeting.

Seriously I tend to have a similar problem. It's really just a matter of controlling it. It just gets harder and harder to control with each additional beer you drink. Kind of a catch 22 isn't it? By the time you realize you probably had too much it's already too late, so you have to learn when to stop.

I assure you that my girlfriends are all always fully unconscious.

No, joke's on you, You can't have a girlfriend.

When my financial situations are more favourable, I have a pint a day.

Planet? You've got to be ****ing kidding me. That's....surreal.

Gotta love 15 quid for unlimited drinks.

When I actually do drink (I usually have to drive myself to the pub, and I never have anything to drink when I drive) I usually have between 3 to 5 drinks.

Last day I was out I had a Corona, Carlsberg, vodka and coke, a shot of Sambuka (sp? This was bought for me, not by me. I've never bought a shot) and another Carlsberg. I know you're not supposed to mix drinks, but **** it.

sambuca, italian licorice vodka, love it!

Liquor and beer, never fear. Beer and liquor, never been sicker.
Seems to be true, mainly because i always start out with beer and get mad sick when i start downing whiskey and vodka

Is there an explanation as to why this rule applies?

i dunno, it just works.. i think it's because of how your body processes alcohol, it feels like introducing hard liquor after beer is abit of a surprise/shock, it offsets you sort of, while starting out with liquor makes the body handle it better, after which you can slow down with beer.. unless you want to spend the night in a ditch/prison/with a whale/dead.

From my experience it's the exact opposite. If I try to drink harder stuff after beer or wine my dinner is bound to be displaced.

He was talking about beer after liquor.

When i drink I usally get shitfaced. I mean drunk of my ass. Usally on Beer and some j?germeisterredbull.
But those occation are getting further apart...

there should be two separate polls for north america and europe ..you guys across the pond drink as part of your culture ..not so in north america where daily drinking means you is an alcoholic

I am the legal age, but I don't really like alcohol, most people I know drink it to look cool. Prefer Coca Cola myself.

I havent been plastered in ages, mainly since ive come back from uni and nothing really happens around here, but I have like a pint every night for the hell of it, Im usually gone by 5 pints lol.

It depends. If I'm on vacation with my friends I'm a downright alcoholic, but on my normal routine I don't drink at all

None, not much for the booze. My friend Schudi is a big drinker though, gets drunk nearly every day (unless he's around us).

Generally I have 4-10 drinks one night a week, sometimes 2 nights.

That and between 3.5-7g of pot a week. And probably 100 cigarettes.

Rarely. If I do, it's on a very special night.

I put a few a week, but that's if I have nothing, and I mean nothing else to do.
