Why would i want to have it worse?

Strange way of thinking...

Anyway, at the moment the British have possibly the worst debt due to the fact that for so long, interest rates have been so low and its so unbelievably easy to get a load now. Appareantly spending is gonna be pretty down this Christmas because the Bank of England is planning to raise interest rates.

debt

i have around £2500 and rising, although i'm getting regular paycheques with each milestone i hit so it's balancing out quite nicely. the only thing that hits me hard in the pocket is my alcohol spending. paycheque in ---> straight to the bar and get drunk

I don't spend money unless I have it and can afford it. I have never been in debt in my life and I don't plan to.

yea i realized a while back that it wasn't worth getting drunk that often...it seriously hurts the pocket.

you don't plan to buy a house, then? or do you plan to save up $100,000+ before you do?

Only about 1500$ (canadian) lost my job so a few debts sorta piled up on me.. Stupid resturant going bankrupt :(

Bank Loan to pay off store cards - £3,180
Student Loans - £12,000

Being 22 and not giving a shit...

PRICELESS!

i so ****ing hate those priceless jokes/parodies. really fookin annoy me to the point of wanting to chew the desk.

lol they are getting quite old.

and you call it priceless in this situation...yet it's gonna have a high price later.

I think the people with the superior "I don't spend what I don't have" attitude have obviously never been a student... Cause really, in the UK it's hardly a freebie.

Damn freekin' loan company is the only way to survive.

I personally am about £180,000 in debt due to my morgage. And a further £15,000 in debt from my student loan. And yes the student loan does pay the mortgage, lol... what a situation huh? Fortunatly i live with my girlfriend who pays me rent, so thats my only income.

Hell at least i have a flat, and you my fair forum chums can call me Dr pHATE.

I'm in dept up to my eyeballs ever since those f*ckers over at the IRS stopped allowing people to get out of student loans through bankruptcy.

Hehe...I'm actually likely going to go to a nearby state school because the tuition so damn cheap. (The place itself happens to be excellent, so its not a big sacrifice.)
I just payed off $45 for a concert ticket...so I currently have no debt. I dont have any cash either, so it balances out. :D

I plan on saving before going to college... invest in some real estate y'know

I wish I was that close, but I have a few years yet before I'm all blue with the banks.

wow, laith owes me £1 because we had this bet that halflife2 would come out before christmas, and i bet it wouldn't, so i guess i win. :D

No blood, its not.

I tried it once and I hop I won't try it again.

dept makes you 24/7 thinking how in hell am i going to get his/her money back. its very hard sitiuation, man I wish you very good luck that you don't get youself in dept....

Yah, my fat friend owes me $1000 for spilling coffee on my laptop. It pretty much ruined the friendship. Sucks.

LittleB: I saved up over $10,000 since I was 16 for college. I spent it all on beer by my senior year.

Yes, that's a classic situation. Now you lost and your laptop, and your friend. If you had just forgiven him, you would at least still have your friend.
(sorry if I rubbed it in a little)

No debts for me, except for a traffic fine I'm still paying every month(400€total at 50€/month). Stupid heavy foot. It's so hard to keep it off the gaspedal.

eh? ive spilled stuff on my mums laptop keyboard and all it needed was a clean, it was a bout half a cup.

$12.37 as soon as my school cashes my last check...
then another $5k or so as soon as tuition is due again for the next quarter (some time soon i would think)

ohhh yyes :D ... someone owes me like $600 ... i already feel all the power i'm going to have over this person

It's great being a kid, you don't have to worry about this sort of thing. :D

But I do owe about £40 in total to various people. I suppose I should pay them back soon

Well im certainly never gonna get a credit card thats just foolish and as for uni i think ill go to one of those magical free ones ive heard about they sound good :(. I think ill just skip uni and get a job as a lottery winner. That sounds fun.

Dept? How much am I in department? Lol. I don't live in one ;).

Debt? None... I'm only 16. Thank God.

Me too.

And I never have much money to begein with so I tend to spend it on important stuff.

Like HL2.

And Smoked Jerky.

I have $5K in the bank and my parents owe me $4k. Doesn't make me happy at all.

I'm not in debt probably cause I'm 16 yrs. old. But I don't buy a lot anyways--I don't like shopping (just from boredom) and I only buy maybe two cd's a year. Oh, I bought some yarn from Hobby Lobby too, which was about $10, but then I had a gift card for that so it doesn't really count.

honestly, about 17,000 US dollars. Yea, I just graduated school and thats how much I owe back in loans. And on top of that I can't find a good job (I majored in chemical engineering) so I'm working for an outdoors gear company making six bucks an hour.

I was in debt to a company for £500 for a mobile phone bill but I sorted that.

Now I have a friend that owes me £40, a friend that owes me £200 and a friend that owes me £80 so at the end of this month - I'm rich!! :D

Well... I'm "with slightly more money than I'd normally have".

Credit card debt screw so many people up and I never wanna be put it in that situation...

Well, you supposed to get credit cards, and buy a few things, and MAKE THE PAYMENTS every month! Then, when it comes time to buy your house, you got good credit- seee! "Why yes ofcourse, sir, we'll give you a loan! This is amazing credit!"

How else are you supposed to buy a house, huh?
