How much bandwidth is steam gonna need for a decent hl 2 launch

Boradband connection is very enough for the game. I have 512Kbit

I pre-ordered my copy from www.gameplay.co.uk a month ago. I would imagine that most of the ppl that use these forums have already rew-ordered and hance wont be buying HL2 via Steam, unless the retail release is delayed by more than a month.
