I was just looking at some screenshots from the outcoming Lost Coast, and I came to think how enoying it is that you need the latest computerstuff to be able to play the mod in its full glory. Don't you agree?

I mean, most of the fans will probably be able to play the game, but very few will see the mod as it should be seen. Why did Valve create a mod that demand so much computerpower? And exactly what would I need for my computer to be able to play the mod with perfect resolution?

And another question, will Aftermath need just as much computerpower as Lost Coast? Hope not !!

ps! sorry for my bad english, I'm swedish ;) ds!

Aftermath will have around the same specs as HL2.

Lost Coast will require a 2.0Ghz processor, 1 gigabyte of ram or so, and a pretty high end video card. Around a 6800, X800, or better like a 7800GTX.

Lost Coast was running on a 6800 Ultra SLI at E3, I believe.

hmm okey, I have 2,21 Ghz processor, and Radeon 9600, do you think that will work nicely?

You're going to need a better video card. I have around the same specs and it's not going to be fast enough to run. Maybe with all settings turned down low and at a low resolution possibly.

bah.. just what I was afraid of! Well then, guess I'll have to play the Lost Coast with low settings :/ Can't afford a new videocard atm :X

I have a decent processer and RAM (3.2Ghz, 1GB), but my graphics card screws me over (Radeon X300)

Do u guys think that i will at least be able to run Lost Coast in medium/low settings? (Specs in sig)

My 9600XT shows me thru FEAR and BF2..IT WILL SHOW ME THRU TEH LOST COAST! :D

I have a 3 Ghz, 512 mbs, and a Geforce 6800 256 mbs vid card. Will that run it on high/near high settings?. I'm thinking of getting more RAM, anyway.

Yes it will - or there willllll be trouble *whipsnap*

I have a 2.8 GHZ.... and a radeon 9800....

I should be ok.... (that is...If lost coast doesn't stutter like Half-Life 2 does)

I have a 3500+ Venice, 1 gig unbinned vx, and a 6800gt.

You think i'll be able to play at medium settings? :D

</sarcasm>

But about the stuttering, update your damn drivers. The new 77's are out if you're running an nVidia card (overshadowed by the rich bastards drooling over their 7800's) and there are the 5.6's if you're running an ATI card.

And if that doesn't work, if you're running an nVidia card, beta 71.84's fixed it for me. Till I got the new 77's. Haven't had any issues with those.
