How much do you work out?

Anyone else split up their routine?

Upper body every other day, and Lower Body the opposite days? That's what I've always preferred to do.

Some people prefer to do everything, every other day. Just wondering what you guys think.

Training using muscle groups is the way to go. You do two muscle groups per workout, possible schedule:

Day 1: Chest and triceps
Day 2: Biceps and back
Day 3: Shoulders and legs

It's this way because when you train your chest, you usually also train your triceps, with most exercises (like bench press), the same for biceps + back. Shoulders and legs are unrelated.
 
Well, to work out your chest you need to use your shoulders. Unless you know of a different way?


In my opinion:

You should work out opposite muscle groups the same day.
- If you work your biceps, you should also work your triceps the same day.

You have a point. I'll have to think about that.
