I was thinking.
Being a fan of a game is one thing; enjoying the game and its concept and knowing the games basic functions and story. But feeling you need more of that particular game is another. This is some would say to be called a hardcore fan.
When you want more of the game, all its concepts. Entering forums, buying gear on the game eg. 'Raising the Bar'. Discussing most days on forums about the story, its features, mods... Anticipatings its episodes/expansions and showing your support for the game and its developers.
My point is to what extent can you feel your being true to the game as a fan. I for one, visit the forums regulary, sometimes drifting away from the forums and back on. But I don't play the game regulary. Does this make me a true fan of the game?
It just seems weird that I've spent more time on the forums and websites reading and discussing about the game/episodes than ever actually playing it.
Oh and what type of fan are you?
