how much ram my computer can go up to

i have a dell dimension 4300 and i was wondering how much ram i can put into it. i currently have 256megs in it.

i had 256 mb ram and i added another 512 you probably could go up to 1 GB of ram or maybe even 2 :cheers:

no i mean like i went to their website and it said that u could only update ram up to 512 on this system
but i think we have something different

dont know call dell people tell them what computer you have and stuff and they will tell you if you can upgrade to like 1-2 gb of ram probably :cheers:

Roughly 160 USD for 1 gig of RAM. You can buy a stick of 512 MB of RAM roughly for 80 USD and a stick of 256 RAM for 40 USD.

ahh go to costco i got like cheap ram and it does perfect for me i dont remmeber what ram company was called but i bought it at costco or check out newegg.com

gosh ram seems like its $120 or more for 512 mb oh well mine wa around 80 or 100 dollars weird but this one is good
