usually to feel right the next day i need 8, only i usually get about 5 and a half to six hours cause i never do the wise thing and go to bed at a respectable hour. On weekends i always tend to oversleep and get something like 12 haha. Its not my fault tho cause my room is in the basement and has no windows so its pitch black all day :p

i have no definitive answer but proper rest is almost as effective as sleep so even if you just lie awake for an hour before you fall asleep its still pretty good for you. I sleep 2til 8 most night my gf stays round, which is most nights.

I can easily live off 3-4 hours a day for over a week.

At the young age of 14 I used to be able to do days on end with no sleep. I miss my youth ;(

At the oscar night I didn't go to sleep until 4:30 AM and got up at 7 AM, I was tired, yes, but I was also quite hyperactive...

I don't think I'm ever 100% awake, not even 60% awake. ever.

I think I was a Koala bear in a past life. Mmmmmmmm eucalyptus leaves...

LOL...

I get about 7 hours on weekdays, and I can live with it, although if I want to take a nap or something for 3 hours I can, easily :p

I go to bed every night at 9:00PM and wake up every morning at 4:00-4:30AM, and lately I have been feeling tired regardless... I have no Idea why... I mean Im not overtly stressed right now, so that cant be it, I go to Gym everyday (except sundays) at 6:00Am, but that doesnt tire me... I start getting really "fatigued" about mid day. I usually go for a jog, or do some free weights to try and pick myself up again, (and I have been sick lately) but still... its odd.
I eat 6 meals a day (healthy obviously) so its not my source of nutrition, nor my frequency of meals and all I drink is water, about 15 glasses a day... so its not that.

I dunno maybe its the change in weather, or something... I want the heat back already man.

According to studies people between (I think) 13-18 need 9 hours of sleep per night and a fifteen minute nap during the day.

I however sleep roughly 6.5-8 hours a night, exept on the weekends when I sleep about 8-10 hours.

If you dont feel tired during the day you are getting enough sleep relardless of how little you are getting.

The individual need for sleep varies tremendously and any of the "averages" should not be take too seriously.

I need about 7 hrs of sleep a night, though I can get away with 5-6 if I have plenty of caffinated bevereges around.

I need about 6-7 hours sleep, but I always have the feeling that I shoudl have slept longer. When I do sleep longer, I'm tired as well and I get this 'cottonballhead" feeling you know

I sleep from about 11 to 6 and I am always tired, even on weekends when I get 9 hours of sleep.

I normally get around 8/9 hours, but I got 5 hours sleep last night and didn't feel tired at all, so...

i go to bed at 10 on weekdays and get up at 7:20, seems fine for me. on friday and saturday i just stay up till whenever- 1:00, 2:00....
AND ITS FRIDAY TODAY! WOOOOHOOO!

If I don't get 10 hours i'm real grumpy all day.

I give myself plenty of time to sleep usually...but it seems that my body only wants 7 hours of sleep...sometimes 6. When I do only give myself about 7 hours of sleep...then I have to goto the airport all tired...

I go to sleep between 1 and 2 and wake up around 7. If I go past 3 im usually tired the next day.

sleep is t3h pwn!

If I dont get at least 7 hours sleep a night I'm a right grumpy ****er, but if my alarm isnt on and I let myself really sleep I can end up sleeping up to 14 hours and again I end up being really grumpy. anything between 7 to 9 hours is kewl but I absolutley loathe waking up.

Two nights ago I got a little over one hour of sleep (from almost 5:30AM to a little past 6:30AM) and I had enough energy to go to USF from 9 AM to 5 PM, then I stayed out until 9 PM, then came home and watched TV and screwed around on the computer until 3 AM. I'm actually more tired than I was yesterday now that I've had at least 10 hours of sleep.

I need 9.5-10 hours to feel refreshed (not sleepy), but I can function perfectly fine with 7 and a half. But only for like 3 days...

once I stayed awake for 3 whole days in a row and didn't feel tired untill I sat down and had a rest. I find that trying to have one or two hours sleep in a day isn't worth it and that it is best just to stay awake untill you can have atleast 5 hours. I think the body has some natural defence against fatigue, but only uses it if you don't try to go to sleep.

Personally I only get enough sleep when I completely exhaust myself before hitting the hay, which hasn't happened in a long time. Even after rideing 10 miles and 2 houres circute training I'm not completely burnt out, even if my arms and legs are. The only thing that completely tires me out is a solid days exersize, even if it's not really hard exersize, if it's constant it will beat any gym session.

i usually get 6 and a half. I row in the mornings so I usually feel energetic but then after dinner I crash and it's hard to do anything

Im tired constantly but i dont do anything enigetic and i have about 8 hours sleep. Im probably just unfit, bugger

i think i need 10 hrs. i usually get 6 on weekdays and maybe 9 on weekends and i'm always tired. last weekend i think i slept maybe 5 hrs a night. longest i've slept continuously is 16 hrs: from 4 in the afternoon to 8 the next morning... that was 3 years ago.

I'm turning 15 in a month. I get about 7 hours of sleep daily and that leaves me completely out of it in the boring classes at school (namely, honors algebra II and honors biology). However, I can go for a long time without sleeping (about 2 days without caffiene, almost a week if I ingest enough caffiene)

I usually go to sleep around 11:00-12:00 and get up at 7:00 on weekdays...

Weekends depending on hockey/reffing, or nothing.

On weekends though, I find sitting around doing nothing makes me more tired than going and doing something, it's weird.

im 14 mwhahah

Dunno, I usually get enough, just at all the wrong hours. Well, what feels like enough anyway. Lately I've been getting to sleep at all hours of the morning, but I'm trying to right that a little. I heard teens and people in general need atleast 8 to be healthy.

I sleep 3-4 hours on weekdays and 12-13 on weekends. I have problems falling asleep in unusual or extreme situations which only makes it worse.

I think I need like 10 hours to function normally during the day.

Wow, out of all these people, I thought I'd be the only in the whole world to have some sleeping problems.
I usually get 7-9 hours of sleep. On Fridays and Saturdays, 11-12. But on sunday, I get like 5-8 hours of sleep and I have to go to school with that problem. But on breaks like Summer or Winter... I sleep at 2 AM and wake up at around 11 AM.

how'd you get in honors algebra 2 and biology already? did you skip up a grade level or take two maths/sciences in a year?

i hate when i can't fall asleep. i usually end up glancing at my clock every 15 minutes and just thinking about sleeping... it gets really boring too... i also hate when i'm sick and wake up in the middle of the night because i can't breathe.

On weeknights i get about 4-5 hours MAX. Im in bed at about 1 then watch TV sometimes and im up at 6. On weekends if im home i got to sleep at like 4 and wke up at like 1.
