how to buy games from steam?

I have a credit card but dont know if I can buy stuff from the internet cuz I have one before and was told I couldnt

but I heard that dont matter and just have to put the numbers there or something

so I am a noob at this and want to know whats required to buy games from steam

As I recall it, you just put in the numbers from the front, then some numbers from the back and a few other details and your address etc and that's it.
I think the only requirement is that have a credit card that Steam accepts.

Yes, when you register your card it needs to be on their list of accepted cards (Visa / Mastercard etc).

You'll need to put your name, card number, expiry date, security code (3 numbers on the back) in. Also separately...probably your billing address.

Everything is very easy to understand, there are help sections as you do it too.
