How to buy steam games without creditcard

Well I was just wondering if there are ways you can still purchase steam games without a credit card, at first i thought it was impossible but I think i saw a while a go here somebody on these forums say that you can creat some sort of online creditcard at paypals, unfortunatly i have looked at their site and couldn't find anything, and I tried searching for the thread I saw this in here, but haven't been able to find it.

So in short if you know about ways we people who don't have a creitcard can purchuse steam games please post it here.

just pay a friend with a debit card (as long as it has visa/mastercard on it you can order online) or a credit card in cash. ive saved up cash since summer to buy the retail, them realized i wanted to buy through steam (after the cs:s early thing). theres no banks around here where i can deposit the cash to my debit card account, so im just paying one of my roomates with the cash.

There is no other means of payment besides mastercard or visa. If you have a bankaccount like wells fargo, then you should have an atm card with a mastercard or visa logo which means you can use that as long as it has the symbol. If not then you will have to do what the others mentioned and find someone with a card willing to help you out and pay them the money.

You are not getting less my friend. I support the artists and developers so I am giving my money to ValvE. I don't need cds and I don't need a box and manuals. What I do need is counter strike source tomorrow. They are doing us fans a favor. It is the same thing as ordering the game a year ago or buying a video card with an ati voucher. I am sorry you feel this way but do explain your opinion more than " we pay the same for less?"

He's from NL like me, and here its kinda hard to get a credit card (I think you need a certain income before they give you one, at least at my bank). Thats why the CC is hardly used here in NL.

Nope never heard of it. And I doubt many have prepared, most people in NL are going to buy it in the stores, like they are used to.

Could somebody just explain to me why you people in the U.S. use the creditcards so mucg, I mean here in holland youcan pay in every store with an atm card so you can probably do that in the US also, and for a ncreditcard don't you have to pay annualy a fee to be able to use it, so why do you use all the time???

Ok here it goes, I was a member of the steam forums untill I got banned, now I don't know why, I only ever made 3 posts and one thread about a problem I had with steam, I never cursed, said racist things, or anything and for some reason I'm banned, and I don't know how I can contact a mod to ask why, does anybody here know how you can do tha twhen you're banned and maybe where alse you can see why people are banned. If you have paypal you can buy it off steam in such a fashion:

Once logged into your paypal account, down at the bottom of the page there is a link marked shops. This will take you to a collection of shops that use paypal. Ignore these (unless you really need new coathangers, prozac, etc.) on the right side of the page, half-way down there is a link called shop anywhere, this is a tool that creates a virtual debit card (mastercard) that can be used, as the title suggests, anywhere. Including steam.

Remember, the balance on said debit card is equal to the ammount of money in your paypal account.

btw grayfox, your third (and most likely offending post) has been deleted from steampowered, this is probably what got you band. While it's none of my business what you said, please do your best to stay appropriate and *cough on subject here at hl2.net's forums.

Well I just made an paypall account and am now ion the page"my account"
in the "overview"section and I don't see it, I have searched elswhere and I can't find "marked shops", so could you or anybody else be more specifiek as to where I can find that, oh yeah and I only have an basic account, so does that change things?

Well no use in anybody replaying I just rememberd to use google and search for it and found out that with my paypal account I can't use it, so thats that, but if anybody else has any other suggestions then post them please.
