How to dl maps from server.

Ok I read some post on how to do it but it doesnt work. Can anyone plz post any solutions to this? I would like to dl the map straigh from the server and not have to go to a website and dl it from there. I know other games can do it so I believe that its possible to do the same for this awsom game.

Just connect to play and it will DL automatically unless the server shuts off uploading which is very rare.

It never DL the map all by itself, all my friends are having the same problem...

Make sure you have this setting in your config.cfg.

cl_allowdownload "1"

Check and see what it is set to in the console.

How do i check what it is and how do I change it, were do i got to change it and how do i get there.

In C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[your username]\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\cfg is a text file named 'config.cfg'. Open it, hit CTRL and F and search for 'cl_allowdownload'. The number after that should be 1
