how to download new maps

When I connect to a server with a map that I don't have, It says missing map. How do I get the map so I can play?

Those maps aren't meant to be played, Valve doesn't want you playing them.

Automatic downloading should be enabled once HL2 and the official map editor is released.

Any content that is not released by Valve is made from the HL2 leak and is illegal.

Too right it is. I can't wait for the editor thingy to be released so I can start... Wait, I don't make maps.

Anyway, I think that once the good, legal editor is released, people will make amazing maps. Ones with light switches and stuff - so don't go playing the illegal maps now, because they most likely suck

if you look at the server that has the map you want to play, the server name will most likey have the address of where you can download it from. Now to actually take the step of downloading it and playing it would be considered by valve a no no. The maps are really not that great and you are better off playing cs 1.6. But if YOU MUST play the underground maps, most of the people here won't condone it.
