how to get hl: source

hi there

short one, i registered my cd-key at steam but didn´t download hl: source right away.........now i don´t know how to do it afterwards, i just can´t find a button to download it........might be a stupid question, but plz help!

dont know what you meen with that , just choose play games then click on game and that is it .

oh, ok, i got it, steam downloaded it in the background as long as i was online.
but shouldn´t half life: source now be in my games? in steam its still under "just released" ( i got the german version, don´t know what it says in english). i started hl, and the graphics are not really better........

What version did you get? The Standard version (with Gordon, Alyx or G-man on the front cover) only have Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source, not HL:S

Yea i have the same problem...i bought gold package and d/l everything fine...but next day when i joined steam again...HL Source was in just released games NOT in "my Games" no idea how to fix it yet..no contact #'s either.....this is why i came here

Yes. The only way you can buy HL: Source is via Steam paying for the Silver Package... which is $59.99. It includes HL2, CS: S, HL: S and DOD: S (when it's released). You can't get HL: S any other [legal] way.... quite a bummer, ain't it?

Well my bro broguht the standard version via steam.

Im just waiting for the collectors edition to get my grubby hands on HL1 source
