thanks, and also leave links if i need to download a program.

You can't do it, your card does not have what you need to transfer tapes to computers. Most cards don't, you need a video capture card, not sure how much they are but I don't think too much for a decent one. The only gaming cards that can do it are All-In-Wonder cards from ATi or Personal Cinema from Nvidia.

Yes, you need either a video capture card, or there are a variety of external usb capturing devices that you just plug your video and audio cards into. I would recommend a WinTV capture card though, thats what I have. I bought it last year I believe for around $120 from circuit city. The model I have is the PVR-250. It has an S-Video input, a composite input(to plug the yellow cord in from the camera) and an audio input. It captures at great quality too. Plus if you hook your cable up to it you can pause, rewind and record live tv, just like Tivo. Here is the website http://www.hauppauge.com.

.. In addition... Most TV Tuner cards will have video input. Any video card with "VIVO" (Video In, Video Out) Can be used to capture stuff off an outside device via s-video/composite. For audio capture side, you can get a connector that takes red, white composite to stereo headphone jack, which can be put into an audio input on a video card ( most video cards have audio in.. the blue hole )
