I'm betting that we'll be sucked into a super massive black hole. Either that or we'll find out how to travel back in time and accidentally kill or change something we shouldn't have, thus creating a paradox. But the most likely scenario is that some dumb ass scientist will divide by zero and end existence as we know it.

I'm betting we wont, sure lots of previous races have become exctint, but has any of those that we have seen that have become it been as advanced as ours? Nope.. I'm not saying it's impossible, I just don't think it's all that likely, and I think alot of people are just being pessimists, which I've noticed is very popular in alot of internet communities with lots of young people.

I'm with the technology thing, especially with AI and such. A few good examples include Terminator (NOT a bad Sci-Fi movie) and the Matrix trilogy as well as Animatrix... just to name a few. I could probably write a whole story... but not now. Definately with the technology solution though.
