How will the episode open?

The opening could be you having to help her up by using the gravity gun on the piece of metal that she is holding on to then a cut scene occurs where you and Alyx gather your senses and the game proceeds from there.

I think that she will die sometime near the end of episode 2.

I'm thinking it will pick up with a "Previously on Episode", and we'll get a few scenes detailing what happened in the previous game, as well as quite possibly returning to the perspective of Freeman as we see the Citadel collapse completely.

Then we'll pick up with the train crash, and go from there.

I think that a "Previously on Episode" would be incredibly cheesy

I think the chances of someone actually saying, "Previously on Half-life!" are very slim. I meant it simply shows you a set of visuals regarding what happened in the last game. In this case, City 17 exploding.

It has been confirmed that the begining of EP2 will start with a previously on half life thing, it says so in PC gamer.

It would be quite good to see a set of visuals but i wouldn't want them forced upon you strongly. A sequence of vague images seen through something like a flashback would be fine with me, but i find it difficult to picture where and when they could be included.
