How will you buy HL2?

Why the heck are you signed up to a HL2 forum if you're not going to play it?

Considering it's going to be the best singleplayer game ever to be released and it's story is going to have so much more depth than the last one, surely it's worth being a little bit more open minded to see if you'll enjoy it on your own? Which you will.

The main part of Sven Coop is the HL story in cooperative mode but it comes with extra maps and features... I expect the HL2 version to be basically the same.

Because i am interested in the possibilities of the engine itself, and the games that will follow based on that engine. Concerning HL2 ... i still hope for a 0.1% percent chance that it includes a coop mode ;-)

Yeah, I am ordering four copys at the store. So, I have every box including the special edition.

I preordered it back in May, but cancelled it when I found out that there was going to be CD & DVD versions, and a Special Edition. I'll reorder it again once these various options are available because I specifically want the DVD version. (Or the Special Edition if it's not too much money I guess)

I will not be buying it over Steam (even if the box release comes out later in Europe than in the States) because I'd like the 'hard' version to keep on my shelf.

you got a learners ppermit, unlaminated ID card, or other IDs?
get a SMALL peice of paper EXACTLY the same color and shade as the ID and tear it so its just big enough to cover 1 digit on the year
forge a number (make it believable) and lick your finger so its good and slimy then put the paper on that finger and stick it to the card
then to destroy the evidence afterwards just peel it off

the store for sure, i just hope they don't go flying off the shelves but then again there aren't many hl players in my town just me and my friend. I'm confused on how one would get hl2 off of steam i mean would you pay for it or would you just go and download it and play?

I'm going to get it the quickest way possible. I think the quickest will be Steam, but I still want to buy it just to have the box sitting in my room.

I don't know for you guys, but I'm a little uncomfortable with buying it over Steam... I don't like paying for something that doesn't have any physical form. Besides, I want to hold it and sound like Gollum. I'll be buying it in a store, yes preciousss.
