Hey, my buddy who works for Ampednews.com just let me know that they just posted a 50MB video of Counter-Strike:Source Beta, from a recent LAN event. It's about 5 minutes, and it's a VERY nice movie, shows many cool things. Visit AMPED NEWS...

Yep. the site is going down. I bet the server load and network load is at 100 percent by now.
 
Thank goodness i've been a member of amped for a while, it's actually a great e-sports site. Oh and thanks for the link :), now if only someone could host the 200mb cs:s video...!

Are you downloading it right now? Well I'll wait a little with registering then...
 
If someone does manage to get it, lets start setting up some torrents, we'd probably get it distributed pretty fast.

if I get it (at 30%) and its decent I may just host it.
 
I hate Bittorrent... I've used many bt clients and none go beyond 3kb download :(

Has anyone seen this amped vid? Yeah the server is slow. I can't log in. Is it worth it guys? Post details of the vid please if you have seen it.
 
I watched it and it's pretty good, quality is great. It's basically just a run-through of different players in a 20 man pub.

its pretty cool, decent video quality (not on par with the one at boomtown) but close, its about 6 minutes long and has a bunch of people playing it.

the sound is rather muffled, or badly compressed in this video, overall its pretty nice.
weighs in at about 52mb

I have the unzipped movie if anyone wants me to upload it to a server/their server. I have my own private webspace that i could host it on, but it's not meant for big traffic, and it's not even my webspace, i could get shut down for hosting on it, but i could send the file to someone who would like to distribute it.
 
i can upload it but i need the video first... can you upload it to your webspace and send me a private link to the file?
 
Yup,download the file and share it to others,its pointless to register only to download the 6 min movie :).

I am downloading the video from Amped site now and will put it up on my server in a min.
 
Putting a movie into FTP is not the best idea,host it on some site or smtg,from FTP it will go to slow and no one will be waiting 2h to download 53 MB file.
 
This is bugging me off, WHY can't anyone use divx ffs?
