America has woken up and they've all tried to access the server at once by the looks of it. Poor steampowered webserver, I don't think it was designed to take the strain.

it's cause they are fixing the main page..
the content server are now on 1200mbits total..
meaning they are preparing for the new steam client or something..
just guessing
the html files and the forums does still work quite fast..
