Superdome roof is simply leaking right now on the one side. No major chunks were ripped off by the sounds of it.

National Guardsmen just moved people to the otherside of the statium it sounds. However they also said the worst part of the storm hasn't hit yet.

I've heard that it's possible that the many gas tanks could break, and coat the surface of the water with a layer of gas. If ignited, all of New Orleans could, theoretically, be in flames.

Yes, the superdome people are the ones that I do have pity for.

But I find it hard to believe that there was absolutely no way 96,000 people couldn't leave the city. Could these folk possibly not have ANY friends that would give them a ride out?
