Here's a game my brother found the other day, I hadn't heard anything about it until then, but from what iv seen it looks mighty fine.

Here's some details:

I. FPS IN A PERSISTENT WORLD.
Huxley delivers the excitement and rich gameplay experience of an MMORPG while combining the knuckle-whitening action of an FPS. Players can communicate with each other in a virtual online city, and participate in side battles with the intuitive PvP (player vs. player) system. Everything a character does in the Huxley world directly affects the success of not only the individual, but also of their race and party; from battles to behaviors, all interactions are linked to the survival of a character¡¯s entire race.

II. LARGE-SCALE BATTLES.
Huxley goes past traditional death match FPS gameplay by challenging players to adapt to new forms of combat to protect the interests of the camp. Servers will be solely dedicated to accommodate millions of users engaged in fast paced, large-scale combat. Players will require strategy and cooperation to achieve victory. Extensive multiplayer battle modes are available each with a variety of unique fighting techniques and special characteristics.

III. ADVANCED A.I. AND QUESTS.
Huxley has advanced A.I. that rivals other online games. Enemies in Huxley demonstrate remarkable intelligence, which can be used to a player¡¯s advantage or demise. Quests in Huxley will take players on paths of intrigue to uncover conspiracies resulting in confrontations. Each quest is continually updated so players feel as though they are enjoying a new story mode every time they play.

IV. CHARACTER GROWTH AND UNIQUE PLAY STYLES.
The characters in Huxley are continuously growing, which is rare in FPS games. Players are able to enhance their own combat styles by obtaining out-of-this-world weapons and new skills, which in turn continuously challenges players to adopt different gameplay styles as they progress.

Hers a link to a little video ,although it doesn't tell us much about the multiplayer aspect - LINK

Unfortunately we wont see the game until the end of next year ;(

I became interested when it was shown at this year's E3. It's pretty ambitious. I hope they achieve all the things they set out to do.

Where the hell did this come from? First i've heard of it.
Now this sounds like my type of MMO... an FPS! :D
Graphics look very nice, and if the battles are huge and in some locations like those i could see myself enjoying it...
But... monthly fee's :(

You guys just heard about it? It was in GI in the spring I think.

Anyway, it looks like a MMO game I might buy. Supposed to take place if the Roman Empire never fell I believe and continued into the future.

That isn't funny, he shouldn't joke like that. He makes my wallet cry and commit suicide.

Yea, I can't wait for it personally, I'm hoping it doesn't have a monthly fee attatched to it though. Oh, and if your worried about not running well enough, get it for the Xbox 360 (if you have one) , I know that's what I'll be doing.

Same here.

Personally I don't mind paying a monthly fee (under £15 tho) as long as they keep updating stuff and releasing new content.
Not like planetside who brought out a expansion that you had to buy, should have been released in a patch.

i saw this footage at ign around the time of e3 and it just got me really excited for this game the first time i saw it its an mmofps for god sakes never been done before

Seems pretty cool. Will wait for more info in PC Gamer UK

I liked the 1rst pictures best off all, And the last picture, The ground has never been so beautiful.

God I miss playing PlanetSide. The first month it came out...best FPS moments ever. The massive attacks and drops with the Galaxies and troop transports...oh god orgasmic. I remember when me and my friend were hacking a little tower and freakin like half the NC army came to reclaim it. Oh man, most thrilling moment ever. We jumped off the tower into our truck and just ****ing high tailed it out of there with explosions all over us.

Oh PlanetSide, if only you were free I would play you forever :(.

Planetside rawked, though I was a little disappointed with the BFR's. I heard they got nerfed pretty much because people complained how powerful they were. :(

I'm actually looking forward to Huxley a little bit, though I don't know if I'll pay for it. We'll see how it turns out though. :)

BFRs became next to useless after the nerf. It was ridiculous. Terran Republic overall got nerfed while the NC got to have the best weapons. ****ing gauss rifle? Pistol shotgun? Goddamn. They pwned us many a times. And well...I rarely ever even fought someone from the Vanu.

Vanu weapons were slow shooting and powerful. Terran Republic blows.

It looks absolutely awesome, I can't wait. Hopefully it'll live up to what they're making it out to be.

Graphically it looks great, but how does it play? Dunno. I'll have to wait and see some real playtests to reach a verdict on this one.
