Saw this thread topic on another website but just asking, if you were to choose two games to mix, what would they be?

I have always wanted a proper RTS/FPS hybrid. Company of Heroes combined with Call of Duty for example.

Wouldn't that be funny if that was actually announced? Blizzard should do it for an April Fools Joke and have a bunch of pictures of Starcraft characters in Go-Kart. Throw in an "unlockable" character, Jim Raynor in Vulture.

I'd take the atmosphere, story, and basic mechanics of Deus Ex and mix it with the combat and level design of HL2.

THAT would be a great game.

I'd like the gameplay of RTCW MP in an mmo. It doesn't have to be a WW2 settting btw.

Instances would be a co-op versus AI*, battlegrounds would involve choosing a map to play against other teams/clans, and you could spend the rest of the time going around the world doing missions to upgrade you guns/skills etc.

* taking down a huge beastie with your medic, engineers, Lt's etc running about and doing their stuff would be great

That'd be cool

Something like this is bound to happen one day, and it'll be HUGE. The difficulty will be getting 1000's of people on a server with a low enough ping.

X3 with Frontier: First Encounters.

You can't beat the seamless transitions onto planets. It's impressive even today. I don't get why there hasn't been a similar game yet.

C&C Renegade + any other C&C game = C&C Renegade how it should have been

Deus Ex + F.E.A.R. = Deus Ex with good combat (Slo-Mo can be a augmentation)

Red Faction + UT2K4 = Onslaught with geo-mod

Halo + Halo 2 = Halo with dual-wielding and plasma swords (and cut the Library level)

Dark Messiah + Oblivion = Free roaming RPG with fantastic melee combat
Day of Defeat + Battlefield 2 = BF1942 except with great infantry combat
Planetside + STALKER (OK, not out yet, but if we assume a great survival shooter) = Survival MMOFPS

X3 + Star Trek Bridge Commander.
