I almost got knifed today D:

A combination of both, I think.

With some rape thrown in.

Funny how you lot love to criticize legal firearms in the U.S., but have 14 year old kids knifing people at random in train stations.
Post again with something that has a point.

Jesus, what have I started? Soon we're going to be taking over an entire apartment complex. HL2.net Condos!

Wha...what? Has something big happenend invovling moving in with other nerds?

Also, shift, its best not have a knife. You can get in tons of trouble for having one, its like you've already stabbed someone.

Apartment Complexes for HL2.net in a zombified world would be pretty hawt.

So your saying we support the murder of innocent people in Britain?

Maybe he wanted some bacon.

Locking people up for carrying knives won't solve anything, considering the number of armed idiots there are. We always have locked up criminals and we still do, but it's obviously not working. There's simply too many of them, and a lot of them probably don't really care about being locked up anyway. I can't think how we'd stop the formation of retarded psycopathic 14-year-olds unless we understand the process, so as usual I say there needs to be some heavy research into this, urgently.

Agreed. For the time being, however, society here is too sick for any short term reforms to be feasible.

It doesn't benefit any government of ours to openly acknowledge the extent to which social values have declined, either. This is because all of the big political parties are responsible in varying degrees for the disillusionment, cynicism, apathy, and the material and moral impoverishment of the masses, which IMO are a massive part of what has gone with this country.

Sick in what way? Or do you mean that the sickness is too ingrained ATM for a short-term reform to be able to anything about it?

You mean that if they admitted how screwed up this country is then they'd get blaimed for it? Well, that's probably true. You're right about the apathy, I think. With the huge surrounding, pervasive structure of laws and paperwork and health and safety and the ability to sue or be sued by anyone, it's no real surprise that no-one wants to take responsibility for anything these days.

Just pointing out an irony is all.

Except for the fact that knives are MUCH easier to get hold of than firearms. Hell, schools alone are like a armoury for knives; art rooms (cutting tools) and science labs, design/tech workshops, kitchens, be it at home or school. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen many firearms just lying about to be stolen as easily as a sharp blade.

Piggy, I've been robbed at knife point before and the second I saw the guy reveal the knife under his jacket I was in his service completly - I handed over everything, there's no question to it, it's just downright ****ing scary as hell. I was 13/14 at the time, but even if it happened again now I'd be the same. It doesn't matter how good the guy is with using it, all it takes is for him to drive it towards you and who would choose that over giving away a couple of quid or a phone?

If it was a good knife you should have offered him/her a good price for it.

man, what a lil' punk, if some kid tried to do that, I'd want to curb stomp that bitch. That's so out of the blue, people like that do nothing good for the world.

You know, after hearing about all the horrible stuff that goes on in Britain, I'm surprised some of you still have such a huge level of pride. I can understand some pride, but can't you have that pride living somewhere else? Seriously... even the united states, with all our problems with crimes, murder, and stupid ass politicians, most of our experiences here by and large are much safer than you people describe in Britain.

I've never been robbed, or seen a robbery take place. Sure, these things happen here a lot, but for the majority of people they don't ever see crimes such as those, let alone more serious offenses like murder. From what I've heard about many people on these forums regarding Britain, is that most of you have at one point been a victim of some sort of crime or harassment by those assholes.

Either you have to force your cities to crack down seriously on the youth gang violence, or it will erupt and take over the city at a greater intensity. My suggestion? Move out. Move far away.

What I wouldn't give to let loose on a room full of wiggers and gangstas with one of these.

You don't need to emigrate. Just move to Sandford. It's safer there.

interesting to see that in developed countryes you can get knifed on da streets yo

Yeah. except we wear bowler hats and monocles when we do our knifing.
Sick in what way? Or do you mean that the sickness is too ingrained ATM for a short-term reform to be able to anything about it?
Yes@the latter part.

Agreed, sadly.

Fine, let's give everyone guns! THAT'LL SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

Apologies for using false logic, but still. :D

If some kid took a swipe at me with a knife, I'd be breaking his wrist with a swipe of my steel enforcer baton, and than continue to beat the ****er down like it was the civil rights movement.

But anyway, that does sound scary. Need more police, I'd guess.

lol huge 14 year old.

I wouldn't have even posted this topic if I was you. When the situation calls for it defend yourself.

What and risk death? Its not worth it. Seriously.
It doesn't necessarily mean at the moment you're being attacked. Find out who it was or what neighborhood they're from. (I dunno how it works over there but it sounds like your typical set over here, which is called a hood even if it's not physically the same neighborhood.)

After you find that out the ball is in your hands so take some action.

someone was gunned down (probably contract kill) a few km from my house just yesterday ..I however have never been killed by an assassin ..me = win

lol haha. yeah actually things work the same way around here too mostly. there isn't a lot of random shit like that. you don't see fools just getting blasted for the **** of it a lot. most homicides are preplanned n calculated out here and stay within the realms of business, rather than spreading to random people that dont even know whats going on.

Now that's just silly, you silly goose.

My uber-1337 tactics to deal with knifers.

If someone threatened me with a knife, i'd dodge his swipe, grab his arm, bust his elbow, jump in the air, do a somersault, land in a cool position, dash forward, do a tornado kick, followed by an au batido to the head and punch him in the gut, throw him to the floor as he is squealing in pain, take his knife, break it and before turning around, i'd say some phrase, like a parthian shot and leave with a grin on my face.

But if he wouldn't be alone i would first do a back-flip and then...

You do all that? Id do the classic Indy pose before shooting him in the face.

Not really it just makes scotland all the worse over england cos they have even more knife crimes. I hate it here ;(

"all'right me lassie! Giv me' yer maney!"

Bagpipe murders FTW.

You can move freely within the EU, so the door to 26 other countries is open to you.

Now that's just silly, you silly goose.
Don't ever try to make me sound black. I was serious and this guy can either get stuck in situations like this for the years to come (as it's only going to get worse, think here) or he can handle it.

That's probably why there IS less random shit like that here- people know it will come back on them. Not by karma or any universal balance but the person themselves or their loved ones will come back and get them with the quickness.
