looks interesting.

edit:

I Am Alive, the next title from celebrated Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond, was formally announced at an Ubisoft press event today.

Described as an "edgy new survival-adventure," the title is due out on current generation systems--likely PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360--next spring. No developer was named in today's announcement, though it had previously been rumored that Cold Fear veterans Darkworks were handling the game.

"When Chicago is left in ruins and the cause of the devastation is unknown, players will be challenged to think, react and take risks that will directly affect themselves and those around them," wrote publisher Ubisoft.

It was kinda neat that the guy who said "i'll see you upstairs" tried to kill him for water.

Looks very interesting indeed!

Problably some kind of survival game, were you have to find water and food and stuff to survive. Would be cool if done right.

edit - heh, I didn't even notice that was the same guy

The main character looks like a monkey.

Looks interesting, regardless.

Wtf, the main character was modelled on Wayne Rooney.

"I am aliiive"

Isn't that what the death knight or whoever says in Warcraft II?

Oh yeah I heard about this, cool that they have a trailer out. I really want to know more it looks like a great idea for a game.

Funny, Wayne Rooney struck my mind as well.

Now THAT'S how you make a trailer.

Looks good. The first part had me tricked. What did they want? Did he have drugs? Their money? And then when he threw the water I was like "wtf...?"

That street scene at the end was COMPLETELY ripped off from Children of Men. They even copied the coffee on the news stand thing and the camera pivoting around the character :|

Still interesting though.

Not to sound like a pig, but since when was Jade Raymond "celebrated" for anything besides her lack of a Y chromosome and/or ability to pronouce simple words?

Since she became pretty hot and produced a mediocre game.

Haha, I thought I was the only one who noticed that! There were some variations, but the whole scenario was awfully similar...which might explain why I want to hear more about this game ASAP. :cheese:

Looks cool. But I couldn't help looking at the advert that was next to it...

i lol'd. wtf IS that thing?

Exactly. If it descends into lots of gun play then it'll run the risk of being just another generic third person shooter. I just hope the right emphasis is put on survival, exploration, tactics and using your wits.

you can take out entire squads with one well placed bottle of spring water.

I already love it.

Big Mac = Nuke

Erm, it does look interesting, but this is NOT a new concept, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster_Report on the PS2 and its sequel both had the player surviving a natural disaster and being able to affect the story depending on the choices they made, as well as having to manage food and heat and water to survive.

Even though I haven't actually seen the movie, that was the first thought that popped into my head.

Uhm, yeah, but it's a product of the Japanese culture where used panties have their own vending machines, so it doesn't count for the Westlische Ubermenschen we are.

New shmew, it's whether it's popular and we've heard of it that is the real key.

Hey, if it was more popular, I'd have heard of it! They brought their own fate upon themselves!

Also, this has Jade Raymond on it. So now it's like I can masturbate with her in the room as well.

*actually watches the thing*

So those are some amazing CGI graphics, I have to say. Except that guy's face.

How did they copy Children of Men, exactly? Because he was walking along the sidewalk with a coffee and something happened?

Are we going to get another Jade Raymond comic? I still have the last one.
