All this Opposing Force crap! It is so old! People act like they had OF for so long, but then all this crap about the new enemies like the game just came out.

I am going ****ing insane! I can't stand it! I just wanna backhand somebody!

Please, someone tell me that they have been playing opposing force sence it came out. Please tell me that I am not going insane.

What happened with this? What is with this sudden flux in Opposing Force, and what does it have to do with steam?


I need to clam down.

No i just find it funny that so many Supposed HL/Vave fans have never played Opposing force.

Yeah when people finalyl do play it, their like "omg this alien is awsome it should be in HL2" and I'm thinking to myself, "hooray for ****** old news ,the aliens in Opposing force rocked"

Heh, I finished HL 1 on my 166 Mhz computer back in.. in.. uh 1998? Software mode. After that, I got OpFor and finished it on my 433 mhz comp Again in software mode.

As for above post, these people come from Counter-strike. I think they first picked it up, started to play it and later found out what HL was. Funny, I know some CS players who NEVER heard of Half-life.

I want to help the people through the game. But the fact that they have no idea what the hell they are talking about, sometims acting like they know absolutly everything... it makes me want to backhand them at the same time.

Mitoboy I feel for you. Yesterday on the #steam-hangout channel a bunch of people were talking about the XEN area of HL and when I mentioned Ghonarch, they were like "whats that"

Anyway. Like he said we are all nubs at some point and the best thing you can do with new people is be tolerant of them. That way you breed a nice community of people who will in turn be nice to nubs after them. They will also be amiable towards you since you were nice to them when they were starting out.


If however you feel the need to berate people for their understandable ignorance, then quite frankly you deserve all the stupid suggestions and questions about Op4 monsters being in Hl2.

I didn't get into Half Life till about 2000 when I borrowed it from a mate, went thru half of it non stop on my old 366 in software, it was the best fun ive ever had with a game. I only clocked Op Force recently (I put it off a couple times and never came back to it) and I never really got thru Blue Shift (yuck). I've only been playing CS since the very week it turned v1.0 and I'm still not all that good.

Does that mean I'm not a 'true' fan? Sorry if us noobs are annoying you man, we just don't live up to your l33t standards
