I have to build a whole new computer cuz of HL2 my current specs are AMD 1.4 ghz, 512 DDR ram, Geforce Fx 5200
and i gotta spend 450 bucks or more to build my new computer

AMD 2.4ghz, 1 gig DDR ram. Ati 9600 Pro, sound blaster live 5.1,
nforce Mother board, 40 gig hard drive and a DvD rom
i really hope Nvidia's new drivers solve this problem so i dont gotta build another computer if i have to i will

wow, read up on vid cards, the 5200 is easily outperformed by a 4200

fx 5200 sucks on half-life the first also, a ti 4200, or even a mx440 probably could beat it

i was getting a 100 fps with the first halflife so why do you say it sucks? with it?

the first half life runs on like Dx6 hardware. Totally different equation and hardware is required on the cards for them to be good in Dx9.

Why is it worthless though? The game will still play great, the water just wont look as cool. So what?
