The new video from X800 lunch that showed the strider movie will be in ATI E3 booth ?

Or it's just something to watch before E3 ?

Cause i sure am looking to some new HL2 media in 2 booths :D

No that was just the WinHDC thingy, E3 will have 2 seperate demonstrations of completely new footage, not last years stuff, dont worry.

According to Gamespot, both booths will be showing new footage, but it will be the same footage for each booth.

That's okay as long as it's new footage. I'm a little wary that it's not going to be playable, tho. I would think that a tiny playable level would give people lots more confidence in Valve's ability to deliver a finished product soon, as well as winning way more rave reviews and good experiences (funny stories from people trying all sorts of different things) than just a movie.

A playable would be cool I guess (I won't be there so it doesn't really mean much to me though) but I'd bet it's just gonna be more footage. Which isn't necessarily bad, but I just don't see it playable on the show floor.

two booths, same footage? ahh. it had better be good, real good.

I can't find the normal sense of having two diffrent booths in the same place (E3) showing same thing . :borg:

Makes about as much sense as them showing the same old Strider video to showcase the new ATI card at that WinHEC convention.

Playable demo without spoilers. Yeah I agree.

I know I'm gonna be burned at the stake for asking this, but...

when is E3 anyway?

that new footage that wasnt new was new, just the same level played slightly differently.

Can you imagine the logistics nightmare at E3 if Valve hosted a playable demo? Their booth would be swamped.

AFAIK, other big name people have done it in the past....also I doubt it would be much less than the number of people who want to watch it regardless of whether it is playable.

Obviously not everyone can play it, but maybe a select few or something...

anyone here going?

if so, make sure you bring high quality camera gear:)

They have a reason why they dont make a playable e3 game. It's far too risky. Remember what happeed to Doom 3 alpha? id software didn't have a video, but a real game there and the result was obvious. The game was leaked. It would be stupid of Valve to let it happen again for them ;]

E3 wouldn't exist anymore. It would just be a really large convention for HL2.
