I drew my girldfriend in Anime

Hi tell me what you think with constructive criticisms. It's not as good as I would have liked, but that's the reason I'm practicing

I drew it and then inked it and then scanned it (girl and background seperately) and then colored it with Photoshop.

Lines are too jaggy
Head is too small
Face is too bland
Hair is not drawn properly
You had the right idea, but the execution is poor.

Not a fan of anime myself, but it does look pretty cool

My only real critisism is I think anime characters usually have absolutely humungous heads - whereas the head there looks in proportion (in real life)

But, like I said - good work, keep it up

There are usually three large heads, one on the neck and two across the chest

I think the belly area could do with a shadow.
The background feels a bit to blury.

Her right eye seems a bit sad, as it dips down on the right. Eyebrows rise when you smile.

You got a good lookin girl. Does she really wear skirts like that, you is it your imagination?
Wish my girl did, but this soggy island gives not chances to do so.

The belly area has a shadow, it's just really subtle.

Yeah, I'm not very good at faces.

She didn't used to wear skirts, but with much whining and nagging from me she does now :E

Well, I have to agree, the proportions are a bit odd. The torso seems too long and the head seems too small (not sure if they actually are :x), and the face is a bit weird, but it's pretty good. Colouring and shadow especially so. Tiny niggle: the sleeves are different lengths (lol how pedantic ).

that isnt it, lines can be kind of "jaggy" in anime..

It seems to be just another person, you need to put what makes her look different from a generic anime character...

No idea what on though =/

Its pretty good, except that it looks too yelly or something. The face is awful hope your girlfriend doesnt look exactly like that
